Year 4 - Lions
This week we had our first Adopt-a-chef session. This session was all about taste so we got to try a variety of different foods.

Science - We have been looking at our teeth and thinking about the different names and functions
Cooking classes - Our first lesson was about our taste and the different flavour profiles.
World Book Day - We had so much fun dressing up for world book day!
PE - We have started learning gymnastics and balancing on different parts of our body
Computing - We have been looking at HTML tags for different websites
Science - We have been looking at the digestive system!
Bikeability - We have been learning how to ride a bike this week.
PSHE - We have been learning about different types of bullying and how to ask for help if I am being bullied
Maths - We have been using all 4 operations to make a calculation circle
Science - This week we have been learning how to construct circuits. We have also been identifying and naming the different components in our circuits.
Art - We have been using highlights and shadows to create a 3D drawing of a chess piece
Music - We have been learning about body percussion and have been learning a song to perform to the class
In DT we have been creating book covers for our book 'The BFG'. We created them by sewing together pieces of felt.
This week we had City Mission visit us to talk to us about Stewardship - We then made posters on how to steward our world!

In PE we have been enhancing our badminton skills
In Literacy we have been annotating texts from our book, highlighting the adjectives, verbs, alliteration and repetition.
In art we have been learning about colour mixing and exploring contrasting colours
Anglo Saxon Print - We made a collaboration of stamps for our final print
P.E - We have been learning about badminton and practising our serving skills!
Art - We have been making stamps in art and creating a repeated pattern
PSHE- We have been looking at washing our hands and how soap pushes away the germs
Art - We have been looking at Anglo-Saxon art work and making our own sketches
Maths - We have been practising place value of 4 digit numbers
Science - We have been going on a bug hunt and making careful observations of them
