Monday: 

This week we are going to be writing letters to Santa! We will include all the year 1 skills taught this term - using ? and !, including a conjunction - and, but, so, because and focussing on correct letter formation, sounding out and capital letters and full stops.

We will begin by using our phonics to read some example letters, discussing the purpose of letters and finding the features such as the address, Dear . . . , the sign off at the end.

Tuesday:

Today we will be learning about the difference between question marks and exclamation marks. We will be reading some examples and adding the punctuation then writing our own examples for our letter to Santa.
