Yesterday we learnt about adjectives and how they are used for description. Today I would like you to watch this vide of fireworks and try to make a list of all the adjectives that could describe them. Words like sparkly, glittery etc

After, you could write a list of verbs that describe the fireworks such as booming, zooming etc

Today, please use your phonics to sound out and read the below descriptions of fireworks. Think about how we blend 2 syllable words by breaking them down and putting them back together. After can you find all the adjectives and verbs and highlight them?

For this we are going to be practising reading 2 syllable words - 

 

sparkling

crackling

spinning

popping

zooming

 

Try adding sound buttons to read them. When you have done this try to use them in a sentence to describe fireworks. You don't have to write this - you can just rehearse saying it. For example:

 

The fireworks are zooming into the night sky.
