Phonics
This week in phonics we are continuing to practise reading and writing longer words (with at least 4 sounds).
Example words to practise reading and writing:
sniff
smell
brown
groan
spot
step
stop
skip
trip
plan
from
frog
twin
swim
spin
Remember to break these words up into smaller chunks to help with reading and writing.
When writing these words remember to read back your writing after. Does it say what you wanted it to? Have you included all of the sounds?

Practise reading words with 4 sounds by playing Buried Treasure, Dragon's Den or Picnic on Pluto. Select phase 4, ccv and ccvc words sets 1-7 including digraphs. Or without digraphs if your child needs a little more practise before adding the challenge of spotting digraphs in words too.
Practise breaking words into their sounds to write by playing Rocket Rescue on Phonics Play.
