Remind your child that part + part = whole

Draw the part, part, whole diagram below. Explore adding different parts together to make the whole. Why not collect some small items put some in one part and the rest in the other part and then push them together to make the whole.

Today we are learning our doubles to 10. Explain that when we double something we add the same amount again e.g. 1+1, 2+2, 3+3, 4+4, 5+5.
