A few important reminders regarding the hot weather, which looks set to continue for a while.

• Please ensure your child has a water bottle with them every day. These can be refilled during the day whenever your child needs to. 
• Bring a sun hat or cap with them. These can be worn whenever your child goes outside
• Please ensure your child comes to school with sun cream already applied
• We also remind you to speak with your child about staying safe outside of school, particularly near rivers and open water, during this spell of hot weather. 

In school we are keeping classrooms as cool as we can by using fans, opening windows and closing curtains. We are shortening the length of time children are outside, especially during the hottest parts of the day and encouraging less active play. Children are able to drink when they need to, and refill their bottles throughout the day.
