Why did grandfather Smed not want Janet to play with the Smoos? Why did grandmother Smoo not want Bill to play with the Smeds?
What can we learn from this story?
Discuss the moral of the story that just because someone is different to us and lives differently, looks different or believes different things, it does not mean we need to avoid them. Everybody is different and when we get to know people we might make good friends with them. So we should respect each others differences and not let that somebody is different to us stop us from getting to know them.
