Late/Absence Procedures
You can report your child’s absence in either of the following ways:
- Telephone the school office by 9.15am and leave a message on option 1.
- Use the Studybugs app or website (free to use)
- Email the school on info@mansbridgepri.net
- Come into the school office
You can report your child’s absence using the Studybugs app. This is completely free to use via your mobile devices and will help you to keep us up to date if your child is not well enough to attend school. It also gives you NHS advice on the illness you are reporting.
At Mansbridge Primary School, we are committed to meeting our obligations with regards to school attendance by:
- Ensuring every pupil has access to full-time education to which they are entitled
- Promoting good attendance and reducing absence, including persistent absence
- Acting early to address patterns of absence
We will also support parents to perform their legal duty to ensure their children of compulsory school age attend regularly, and will promote and support punctuality in attending lessons.
Good habits of attendance and punctuality are not only key factors in ensuring progress, both social and academic, but will also prepare pupils for life beyond compulsory schooling.
We need to work together, as a whole school community, to ensure that regular, punctual attendance is given a high priority by all staff, governors, parents, as well as the children themselves.
If you need support with your child's attendance, please contact the office to make an appointment with the Family Inclusion Support Officer, Mrs Moody.
